Women Aware, Inc. is a women-led, community oriented organization based out of Poplar Bluff, MO, dedicated to providing educational and entertaining events to help women connect in their local communities. Events include our quarterly luncheons and our annual conference each fall. The conference includes a keynote speaker, breakout sessions and local businesses and sponsored geared to supporting
networking, personal development, and professional growth of women. Women Aware has been part of the Southeast Missouri community for over 32 years and is run entirely by volunteers and supported by local businesses.

President
Meredith Rhines
Meredith has been actively involved in Women Aware since 2015 and has enjoyed being a part of such a wonderful organization. She is married to Justin and mom to two wild children: Denton and Parker. Meredith is an Accountant and Certified Financial Planner working alongside her family at Dairel Denton & Associates.
Conference Director
Cindy-Lou Morgan
Cindy became involved with Women Aware because she has a passion for encouraging and empowering other women in business. She attended the Women Aware Conference for several years before getting involved with the organization, when she saw how great of an impact this group has on its community and women. Cindy is co-owner of Legacy Marketing and specializes in marketing strategies & digital marketing. She and her husband, David, have been married since 2013, and they have one “fur-baby,” Sacha- an Alaskan Klee Kai, which they adopted.

Tracey Tarpley
Tracy has been with the Women Aware organization since 2015. She became a member of the Board in 2016 and has served various roles throughout the years including Conference Director from 2020-2021. She has been employed with Productive Staffing for the past 17 years and currently works as their district manager. Her passion for helping people and her community is what drives her to continue being involved with the Women Aware organization. Women supporting women.
Treasurer
Chris Waite
Chris has been involved with Women Aware, Inc. since 1991. She says it has “given her the opportunity to meet new people, continue learning, and work with such incredible women.” Chris has been married to her husband, Stephen, since 1982. They have 2 incredible married adult children, and 6 fantastic grandchildren. Chris completed her MBA at age 50 and is a Certified Administrative Professional – Organizational Management (CAP-OM), and she never wants to stop learning and growing. She loves to work and volunteer in her community. She has created an online site (www.pbmo.com) to promote and share the many wonderful businesses and events in Poplar Bluff & Butler County.

Women Aware was founded in 1988 by a group of Women who sought after a vision of inclusion, empowerment and support from other women in our community. The hard work and dedication they had is what laid the foundation for the Women Aware organization to be what it is today. While we enjoy those members who are still with us we can’t forget the ones who were before us that were female pillars in our community.
